My students need a heavy duty pencil sharpener. We have a classroom of 38 students. We have gone through 3 pencil sharpeners this school year. We love to write!

My Students

Having a class of 38 students is challenging. Imagine not having a working pencil sharpener. Every morning my students use their creative mind to write in their journals. It is so hard trying to sharpen so many pencils with their small sharpener. Please help "Sharpen the Minds of My Scholars!"

We are a public school system.

All of are students are eligible to receive free lunches. We are a title one school.My classroom is very crowded.There are 38 students in my sixth grade classes. I also have 32 fifth graders.They have learn to adjust to our classroom environment. My students are very hardworkers and enjoy writing. Since we don't have technology like laptops and Ipad the student do a lot of writing.

My Project

It takes so long for my students to get started with the work because of our pencils sharpener situation. By the time everyones pencil is sharpened, the class is almost over. With the new sharpener, my students will be able to zoom through their assignments, and start their creativity flowing.

Donations for this project will improve my classroom tremendously.

Students will be able to transition from one activity to another without complaining about our old pencils sharpener.
