Help Send Students With Autism Supplies!

My Students

I currently am working with 6 students with autism. They require a lot of hands-on materials which is very hard to come by since most of my teaching has turned into digital classrooms.

Currently, my students are finishing up the packets of work that I have sent home before we knew schools were going to be closed for the rest of the year, but now these packets are almost finished and my students need more resources.

I am able to create digital resources for my students from my computer to put in my Google Classroom, but that is not good for all of my students.

My Project

These materials will enable me to print and send student work and any visuals they may need home. Some of my students do not like sitting on the computer to complete their work. It is hard for them to focus on the technology and are very used to paper and pencil activities in school. My student also is used to having a visual schedule to refer to every day, as well as symbols to help keep them on track. These resources will enable me to send these things home to help the parents the best they can during this time.

With these resources, I will be able to print and mail my students the visuals and homework packets they need in order to get through the school closures.

This will not only help my students through June but even until next fall as my students receive 12 month school. Summer school may be virtual for them and these resources will help parents who are unable to log into my virtual classroom.
