My Students

I love my students! The students in my class are kind and curious, and they possess the drive and desire to do their personal best. They work hard every single day! In my class, we value respect, hard work, and a strong sense of family. We are a family in my classroom.

My students are amazing and unique in their own way.

My goal is to teach them the skills necessary to become successful in every avenue of their lives from this day forward while smiling, laughing, and learning. We are diverse and excited and ready to learn. This group of amazing third graders is ready to keep growing and thriving.

My Project

I am overjoyed that I get to experience Pathfinders for the third time this summer! I had an amazing time learning all about Scratch in 2018, Maker Education in 2019 and again in the winter of 2020, and I cannot wait to go back again this summer to this time delve deeper into the world of Maker Education at the Pathfinders Summer Institute in Bloomington, Indiana!

As the daughter of a computer programmer, I was born to use technology in the classroom, and this opportunity will only foster and enhance my ability to do just that!

This bootcamp will allow me to continue to develop the skills necessary to further my integration of maker education principles and philosophies into my core curriculum.

The sessions at this institute will provide me with skills and model lessons using hands-on engineering and design challenges, digital manufacturing, microcontrollers and electronics and a variety of other inexpensive low- and high-tech materials and equipment.

I am grateful to have been allowed this opportunity and fully intend to be present and eager to learn at this institute this summer. Let the learning and funding begin!
