This project is fully funded

I teach seventh grade science in a South Carolina public school. My students come from very diverse backgrounds, but most live in poverty. Students in my classes range in ability from special needs to advanced.

My students complete several research projects during the school year. Saving their work is a challenge. Students save their work to a computer hard drive or to the school server. This leaves their hard work vulnerable since any student in the school can access their documents. All too often, their work is tampered with, moved from folder to folder, and sometimes deleted. When this happens, students are devastated. The wind is absolutely taken from their sails. I am sure you can just imagine how frustrating it is to these young people to have start over because someone you cannot even identify your hard work. My students deserve better. They need a more secure alternative.

A set of 28 flash drives would solve this problem. Students could save their work on their group's flash drive and it would be there for them to access the next time they needed it. No longer would they have to worry about their hard work being sabotaged.
