Help Roll Some Clay Slabs

My students need a slab roller to learn about creating ceramic projects using the slab method.

My Students

"What are we doing today?" This is the first statement I hear from students when they enter the art room. They are always very anxious to get started on a project and to use their creativity. My students come from a wonderfully diverse backgrounds of culturally different inner city kids, who are always excited and anxious to make art, and learn about different techniques, and artists.

We have tight budgets with limited amount of resources, so my artists need your help to make sure that each artist will have the opportunity to have the best quality of art education.

My Project

In our art classes, I want to be able to teach students different ceramic techniques. I am asking for a slab roller to prepare clay slabs for students, so they can learn how techniques using clay slabs. Having a slab roller will cut preparation time making slabs in half.

Having a slab roller to use in art classes, will give my students more time learning about using the technique of slab building and making their projects, rather than on the preparation of the clay.

I want to give my students every opportunity to learn about different techniques and methods in ceramics. The slab roller would simplify and quicken preparation and let students work with equipment that is essential to ceramics.
