Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are a magnet school in a Title I district. Our kids all test into our programs and have to maintain a minimum GPA and keep clean discipline records. They are among the best that our area has to offer.

Several of our kids come from "failing" schools, as defined by our state, but their intelligence says otherwise.

One area in which these, and all, students can improve is reading comprehension and utilizing technology more. By using technology in the classroom, I won't have to worry about which students don't have access at home.

My Project

Our male and female golfers will use these items to practice. We do not have a home course, so it is sometimes difficult finding places to practice. These items will allow us to practice anywhere! This will cut down on our travel time from school to practice and maximize practice time! The mat and net will help us practice driving in any space - indoor or outdoors, large or small. The putting green will help us improve our short game. And the swing trainers will help us in all aspects of the game. Overall, these will lead to a more quality practice and greatly improved golfers!
