This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school serves students in grades ETK-6. We are a Title I public school from the inner-city. More than 95% of our students are on the federal free meal plan. Most of our students get dropped off and arrive at school at 7:30 AM and continue to stay at school until 6:00 PM. In other words, our school is their home away from home.
I work with energetic and motivated second graders who are eager to learn.
I would love to have the opportunity to create an environment that empowers my students to reach their full potential as scholars and citizens of the 21st century.
My Project
Have you ever had to research something and copy everything down instead of printing it? Have you ever had to upload students' pictures to Costco or running to Staples to get copies printed out for students and parents for special events? If so, then you can imagine how tedious it can be. Coupled with our busy schedule, a printer is vital in maintaining maximum efficacy in my classroom. More importantly, I have a bunch of eager second graders who are in need of toner for classroom printer so that I can be ready to print out colorful stories they have been created.
Currently, our class printer is out of service because we don't have anymore toner.
So, with your donation towards the four colored toners, together we can revive our printer for my students. My students use the printer to print out special certificates they earn for successfully completing their Mobymax assignment online. Furthermore, assembled colored toner will enable my students to print informational texts and diagrams with various features of rocks in science, in social studies, they will be able to print out pictures of their heroes to share with the class and their family. With your generous support, my eager second graders will be motivated and inspired to see their hard work be published and their achievement in vibrant color!
