This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my classroom we read every day all year long. Most of the books students read are selected by the students. I find this is the best way to engage young readers in the practice of reading. And no one improves without practice. Unsurprisingly, some books of interest go missing each year from my classroom library.
So, I need your help to replenish and update my selection with relatable and high interest books for my students to continue developing their reading stamina.
I have selected modern books in popular genres such as romance and murder mystery as well as fresh poetry, graphic novels and historical fiction. I am so excited to be able to bring these fresh titles to my classroom library with your help. Thank you so much for considering supporting my classroom library and my students' reading adventures!
