Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a diverse classroom of students with many different needs. Currently during testing my students are creating their own forts out of folders, books, and sometimes even their Chromebooks. Test anxiety is a serious issues that affects students and can lead to racing thoughts, inability to concentrate, or feelings of dread. It can also manifest into physical symptoms like a fast heartbeat, headache, or nausea. Although tests can’t measure all aspects of learning, how students perform on them affects them, their teachers, schools, and communities.
By providing students with these items we can reduce test anxiety and help provide a comfortable learning environment.
These items will help minimize distractions for student and provide a safe space for them to test in.
