it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 2nd grade students are hungry to learn and very excited about our newest classroom tool.
23 energetic 2nd graders in my class are working hard to complete their latest project.
They are curious, hard working, and full of questions. In our school, we strive to bring 21st Century skills to the classroom. While learning, my students have the opportunity to experience, inquire, create and reflect all through collaboration and with a focus on communication. To further our 21st Century skills, I put technology into the hands of my students. With the use of our new iPads, second graders can document their learning and also use the technology for extension activities or opportunities to practice and reteach core concepts.
My Project
We recently received 5 iPads from our school district. My students are thrilled with this new technology! They will use these in their collaborative groups for research and documentation. The iPads are also available to students who finish early and need extension activities and to those who need extra practice or time to relearn basic concepts. We are thankful to the district for these resources, but we do not have cases to protect this investment or a way to store and charge the iPads. The materials that I request will solve this problem for us. We will use the dish rack and surge protector as a storage and charging dock for the iPads. The cases will ensure that our technology lasts for years to come.
Donations to this project will protect the investment that our district is making to my students.
Having the proper storage and charging set up for our iPads will ensure that they are charged and ready to go for every lesson and every opportunity to learn. This will affect not only the 23 students in my class this year, but those to follow for the years to come. Thanks for helping make a difference.
