Help Protect Our Education

Help me give my students a storage unit to store their outdoor learning materials to protect it from the harsh weather on the Big Island of Hawaii.

My Project

Due to Covid-19 we have learned to utilize more outdoor learning. We have created more learning centers outside where the students can have more space and freedom to move around. In doing this, the students have been able to explore their environment, be more active, and have become more engaged in more meaningful play. Students have also become more inquisitive about things they find or see in their environment which helps with their cognitive and language development.

However, because of the harsh weather we have here on the Big Island it is hard to keep our materials in good condition.

Materials get worn out quicker and begin to break faster. If we had a place to store these materials inside a unit, it would help us to keep the quality of our materials longer to help assist with the learning of these young minds.
