My Project

My students are eager, curious learners who come to school ready to grow, but they need the right environment to truly thrive. To build a classroom where every child feels safe to take risks, we are requesting Social Emotional Learning (SEL) books and supplies that will help them identify their feelings, manage stress, and build resilience. By prioritizing their emotional well-being first, we can ensure that every student feels grounded, supported, and ready to engage with challenging new concepts without the fear of failure.

Many of my students have autism and struggle with their emotions and understanding math.

Once that foundation of confidence is set, the math manipulatives in this project will help turn their abstract ideas into a concrete understanding. These hands-on tools allow students to physically explore numbers, making difficult problems approachable and fun to solve. By funding this project, you aren’t just buying supplies; you are helping to create a holistic learning environment where students are emotionally supported to handle frustrations and academically equipped to master mathematics.
