My Students

Do you remember how we used to get information? Yes, by reading books. In today's society the future of the world is technology. It is an essential part of life to keep up with today's technology.

I teach Pre-Kindergarten to eighteen wonderful 4 and 5 year-olds.

These eighteen eager New York students want to use any resource available to them to learn. I want to be able to help them explore and learn as much as they can. Most of these children come from low income families and do not get the resources they need to keep up with today's technology.

My Project

With an Apple iPad2 and a smart case, my students will be able to use applications like Alphabet Fun. With this App, my students will be able to learn their letters, numbers and colors. For those that are beyond that, there are favorite Eric Carle books where the children can record themselves reading. This will help them not only by building their confidence, but by allowing me to assess their fluency among other things. In addition, we will be able to document our day and take pictures of our special events using the camera feature; never missing an event.

Instead of using the one slow computer we have in our classroom, they will be experiencing the new wave, the future, with an Apple iPad2 that many of them have only dreamed about. I thank you in advance for your help in letting my children see that they can look forward to the future knowing they can succeed because you touched their lives in this way.
