My Students

Our rural school is a K-12 school. Our elementary school is K-3, serving about 300 students. This year I am moving up to third grade from kindergarten. With this move, my third graders' needs are very different from the needs of the kindergarten students in my former classes. I would like to be able to provide these students with a learning environment that meets these new needs and standards.

Please help me in this quest!

My students are eager for new experiences and chances to explore the world around them. Whether it be through using tablets, performing science experiments, or reading about faraway places, I want to provide them with these opportunities in any way I can. This project will help me make this year as successful as I can.

My Project

I would like to have Chromebooks to use in our classroom to allow students to work on projects during the school day without having to go to the computer lab! Learning takes place at all times, not just at scheduled computer lab times.

These Chromebooks will allow me to differentiate instruction, help students research, play learning games, and continue their learning in a more independent fashion.

Our school currently has over 300 students sharing a computer lab, which means it is difficult to get into the computer lab when the opportunity arises. Having Chromebooks in the classroom allows more flexibility in teaching and learning. I can reach all levels of learners in different ways using tools that a Chromebook can provide.

Please help us use technology more efficiently, effectively, and in more meaningful ways!
