This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would love to have a big colorful carpet to set the classroom environment as a fun place to learn. I am a first-year teacher and would love to buy all the materials I need to make the dream classroom for my future students. I like this carpet because the smiley faces would be used as an area to sit on, so students would be able to neatly sit on the carpet in straight rows. I would use this carpet when we are going to watch lengthy videos they can sit on the carpet, students who can not see so far can sit on the carpet to copy what I am writing, and when students have independent work, they will be free to sit on the carpet if they are tired of sitting on their chairs all day. Getting this carpet will put me one step closer to making the best classroom for the students. A beautiful welcoming classroom creates a safe environment where students feel comfortable learning.
