My Students

I teach a diverse group of third graders in an urban school in Brooklyn.

My students are enthusiastic, silly and insightful.

They love learning about cultures around the world, playing math games and writing fiction. The students are part of an inclusive classroom, which combines special and general education students. Students learn from each other and celebrate strengths and accomplishments of all sizes.

My Project

Our classroom needs a rug for our meeting area, where students can share their ideas and collaborate with one another. A rug in our meeting area will allow us to gather together and build a strong learning community. Each day students will use the meeting area to engage in meaningful conversations about experiences they've had, books they're reading, and things they've learned.
