Help Our Teams Prepare for Flag Football Competitions!
My students need red and blue flag football belts to play in competitions.
This project expired on December 20, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
This project is written with Coach April. She is the head coach of the after school teams at our school in Los Angeles, and supervises and teaches athletic skills to over 125 elementary school students. Coach April has a football team that competes with other teams in our school district.
Coach April's team members have participated in many tournaments throughout our school district and have proudly returned with trophies.
Approximately 32% of the students at our school qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and everyone receives free breakfast daily. One of the unique features of our team sports program is that we have high participation from girls. In fact, we have football teams that are co-ed and some teams that are girls only. These teams all play flag football and participate in district-wide competitions.
I have requested a brand new set of blue and red flag football belts so we can have enough belts for team competition practice. We currently do not have enough flag belts for all the students who want to participate.
Our teams play in flag football competitions throughout the school district, so having new flag football belts will be a wonderful resource for our team!
Your donation to this project is greatly appreciated. Having great flag football teams teaches motor skills, cooperation, teamwork, sportsmanship, and helps team members make new friends too! We can't wait to have these resources!
