This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our video art class teaches teamwork, leadership, how to use creativity, flexibility, computer skills, graphic design, and more. Specifically, our video art course covers pre-production, writing, editing, on-camera acting, technical work, critical analysis, post-production editing, and presentation. Our past students have been amazing and have been producing quality programming for many years. Our school serves low-income students who usually don't have any access to quality video production equipment, so we can use all the help we can get to acquire the equipment needed to provide a quality education.
My Project
With proper video production equipment, we'll be able to teach students new photo and video techniques. Keeping up-to-date on our equipment is always a challenge, but we believe that these microphones will provide years of use.
With the use of these microphones, we can teach students how to properly record audio.
Hands-on learning, with the use of new technology, imparts a sense of process and accomplishment which drives our students to want to learn more. Our kids have shown that they have a thirst to learn new techniques and use these newly developed skills to create original and creative projects.
