My Project

Why a 3-D Printer?

Many of our students struggle with anxiety, attention issues, or sensory processing differences.

For them, a simple fidget or tactile object can make all the difference — helping them focus, self-regulate, and feel safe. But every student is different, and the “one-size-fits-all” fidgets you can buy online don’t always work. Some kids need something squishy, others need something they can spin, click, or even just hold in their pocket.

With a 3-D printer, we can:

Design and print fidgets that are perfectly tailored to individual needs

Create tools for mindfulness, focus, and emotional regulation

Involve students in the creative process, giving them agency and pride

Replace lost or broken fidgets instantly, without waiting weeks for new ones

Keep costs down and make sure no student ever goes without

How the Funds Will Be Used

Every dollar you contribute will go directly toward:

A reliable, classroom-safe 3-D printer

Starter supplies (filament, basic tools, and maintenance items)

Design software and educational resources

Materials for ongoing creation and experimentation

Why This Matters

We see every day how much a well-timed fidget or sensory break can help a child stay calm, focused, and confident. But we also see the frustration when a needed tool breaks, goes missing, or just doesn’t “feel right.” With your help, we can make sure our kids always have what they need — and empower them to be part of the process.
