Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! I am so fortunate to be at a rural school that has such great students who are kind, compassionate, and excited to learn. We are a Title 1 School District and many of my students come from high levels of poverty. We also lack enough funding for my P.E. program to buy new equipment every year. This does not mean they don't deserve the type of equipment that other districts get to use!
Soccer is my "go to" for my students when I start a new Physical Education unit each Spring.
They always ask for soccer each year as a unit to learn and play. I currently teach K-8th grade P.E. and they all love Soccer! The problem is that most of our current soccer balls have been used beyond their lifespan. I try and order a few each year, but was unable to afford more equipment for this particular unit.
With your support I would love to have a new supply as I get ready for my upcoming Soccer Unit. I know the students will be so excited when they see all the new equipment and the ability for each pair of students to have their own ball to practice with. Thanks again for your generosity!
