This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love playing math and literacy games I print out; however sometimes they rip or get wrinkled because they are not laminated. A classroom laminator will help us save all our games and allow us to reuse them.

Welcome to our preschool class, where fun and learning never ends.

I am a special education teacher and I teach a preschool, self-contained class. My students have varied disabilities ranging from speech and language delays, cognitive delays, gross/fine motor delays, to autism. We spend our day doing many activities to help the students learn and develop skills they are delayed in as well as follow the curriculum. To meet the different needs of my students, I am always researching different educational games I can use in small groups. Using these different strategies to teach allows me to present subjects like math and literacy in a fun and creative way.

My Project

I am requesting a classroom laminating machine because the laminating machine at my school is usually out of laminate or broken. We only have one laminating machine and it is always our of service by the third week in September because of all the teachers using it. This classroom laminating machine will save me lots of time and paper because I will be able to laminate all my materials and pictures in the classroom. I will also be able to save all my materials for future use. As a special education teacher, I also use a lot of pictures as some of my students are visual learners. Some of my students also use communication books to communicate. This classroom laminator will allow me to laminate all the pictures and save them for future use.

Donations to this project will allow me to save materials I print out to use in the classroom.

These materials help me differentiate learning so the students can learn at their own pace and ability. It will also help me save all the pictures I use to help the students learn.
