Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students rage from pre-kindergarten to 8th grade. They are the most wonderful kids in the world that simply want a fair shot at life! The majority of my students are refugees who speak little to no English. My students are their families have risked their lives for freedom in this country. Most of of the kids have nothing but their shirts on their backs. They have no food at home, school supplies, hygiene products, or clean clothes. These evert day basic essentials are some times taken for granted. My students are so eager to learn English and become contributing members of society. They just need a little help getting there with a fair shot at life! The children are so appreciative and thankful for any donations we receive.
My Project
My project is geared to help provide my students with the basic necessities to get through the school year, simply one day at a time. I am hopeful to provide students with a snacks to take home when I know they might not receive dinner. Or, to provide a clean shirt after they have worn the same one for weeks upon end. My project is aiming to provide the basic necessities to my students to help make their days a little easier alongside all other hardships they might be battling in their personal lives at home. With full bellies, clean clothes, and school supplies, my students will be provided with encouragement to succeed and want to learn. The items for my project will be seen as positive incentives. My students are so amazing and you will truly be making a difference in a child's life by donating. Thank you!
