Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are learning English as a second language! They are vibrant fourth graders who have tough lives. My students have the highest goals, hopes and dreams, but due to life's hardships, they need help in attaining them! The sky is the limit for them as they dream of having an educated future!
My students live in the inner city and school is an oasis for them.
They fight through a lot of challenges and somehow never give up. Language, with many parents being illiterate, and poverty are just some of the things they struggle with. Our classroom is colorful and uplifting to offer hope to all who enter and study here!

This request for ink for our class printer is SO IMPORTANT to us!
We are so fortunate to have won our class printer last year on Donors Choose!
We are now coming to the very last drops of ink and this is a very sad situation for us!
Our class printer is the heart of our classroom! We use it for countless things each day! We print published pieces, updated class data so kids are grouped accordingly for instruction, helper papers for different units, resources for all topics, awards boards, passwords for websites....the list is endless! It is so convenient and necessary to have the printer in our room. Currently most rooms print to a central printer which is constantly broken...out of toner...or things printed get lost or thrown away. Having the printer in our room is a necessity for a 21st century classroom! The issue is having enough ink. Getting enough ink would be a huge stress reliever and would keep us up and running! We would be so incredibly grateful! This is an everyday item that would be used, appreciated and create multiple opportunities for learning for my beautiful students!!!!
