Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our school has a growing piano program. As more students want to enroll in the class we need more pianos to provide the opportunity for them to have adequate keyboard time to be successful. Currently, we have 10 pianos for students to use and every additional piano is another student that can be added to the class. Anybody who has ever learned to play an instrument knows that what students need is consistent practice time in order to do their best and have a positive experience. The current students in the program are all enthusiastic about playing and getting better at the instrument.
