My Students
My students are eager little people with high energy and minds that are constantly on the go! My district is low-income and tends to be very transient. My students are forced to come and go at the drop of a hat when circumstances occur that are beyond their control. More often than not, they return to our school, making me very happy to see their smiling faces again!
I play the role of friend, caregiver, therapist, counselor, and most importantly, teacher.
My students may not always have stability at home, but I make sure my classroom is a safe place they can always rely on. School has to be fun, engaging and comfortable for us to be productive. My kids are always on my mind and my goal is to help them know their full potential.
My Project
A clean, organized classroom library can be the difference between student engagement, and student boredom! I have spent years trying to build my classroom library, level every book, and am now ready for pretty bins to pull it all together!
Creating a love for reading starts with students wanting to actually pick up a book and give it a chance, and these bins can help them on that path.
These bins will allow my library to look uniform, instead of like a used-car lot.
These bins will help make our classroom feel like a cool, comfy place to be. Building a love for reading each and every single day--that is my goal!
