This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever sat in a classroom, listened to the teacher go on and on about a subject you really like, but have a difficult time understanding? Did you ever wish you can see the lesson, rather than just listen to it? My young learners would benefit a great deal from a classroom laptop.

These enthusiastic, eager learners consist of special needs and English language learners coming from low-income, impoverished families with challenging backgrounds.

They are kind, respectful young individuals who need frequent encouragement and stimulation in their learning. They try so hard to learn, participate, and to succeed despite their learning abilities. Our inner city school is 97% free lunch with very little resources.

My Project

Your generous donation of a classroom laptop will allow my students the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding in the most important content areas, Math and Reading. After reading a class novel, or discussing current events, we will be able to watch the instructional videos pertaining to certain topics. In the area of Math, they will have the ability to truly grasp math facts, such as finding area, probability, decimals and fractions. I will not only teach lessons, I will challenge their minds in an effort to reach each student. We will be able to pair up the laptop with a projector, and watch as our lessons come to life. A laptop will allow me to utilize vibrant, colorful lessons for my visual learners, and listen to and play a variety of learning games for auditory and special needs students, and differentiate instruction for my English language learners. A laptop will allow my students the chance to gain the confidence they deserve to engage in all classroom activities.

Your kind and charitable donation will allow me the opportunity to reach each and every student, permitting them to work to their best potential.

Giving these students the encouragement and stimulation they desperately desire will encourage a lifetime of success.
