This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Soil, rocks, insects, and plants, Oh My! My students absolutely love everything nature. At recess they can be found observing butterflies or inspecting rocks and pinecones. Gardening is one of my students' favorite projects and helps enrich our classroom environment in many ways.
Through gardening I can harness my student's intrinsic curiosity about nature to extent our learning about photosynthesis, pollination, types of soils, and so much more.
We also use the garden to conduct many different experiments throughout the year. One of the best aspects of the garden is that student get to experience growing different types of vegetables that they may have never tried before. Our garden supports endless learning opportunities.
