This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember what it was like to look at your first slide from the lens of a microscope? A digital microscope will help my students take a closer look at items such as flowers, insects, soil, and plants.
I teach a group of smart, talented, and energetic second and third graders in Harlem, New York.
They attend a charter school called Future Leaders Institute that believes children can discover and learn through different strategies and experiences. My students deserve to have the equipment needed to reach their full potential. Although this is the case, we have limited resources available to help with this process.
My Project
A digital microscope will change my student's lives in many different ways. It will give them an incredibly detailed, up-close look at science specimens. It can also display images on interactive whiteboards and computers during science class. It will be used as a technology tool that enhances interactive learning in the classroom.
Please consider donating to my class project.
The donations received for my class will have a huge impact on how technology is used in the classroom and its affect on science. It is very important for our future scientist to have detailed visuals during their lab experience. The digital microscope will help keep them engaged during class discussion and also provides a way to take pictures and record videos in the classroom.
