This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a 3rd grade teacher that gets the pleasure of teaching a group of inquisitive students who love hands on activities.
My students are scholars, explores, inventors, and artists who have a love for learning.
I love having the opportunity to introduce new concepts and strategies to them. To have a part in helping them learn about the world we live in is a gift. The idea that I could help my students develop new passions and interests to continue on this path of exploration is what makes me love what I do.
My Project
At many school sites I have worked at, a popcorn machine has been a standard tool used at school events to help raise money. Because this is the first year my school is open we do not have any standard tools such as these. This popcorn machine will provide my students with a resource that will help us raise money to go toward important educational experiences such as field trips and assemblies as well as beneficial materials and necessities. It will help to provide an on going incentive for students who have excellent effort, academic growth, and/ or citizenship. This tool will help my students for years to come.
