Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Hey ever wonder how sound or light travels? Why do the seasons change? What is the moon made of? What happens if a future scientist's dreams are deferred because they were never allow to explore? I work for a school where the hopes and dreams of becoming the worlds next greatest scientist are few and in-between. Our science test scores were 16 percent! I am hoping I can help change this. Right now science is limited to what is taught in a textbook and whatever I can create. I would like to add some great hands-on science activities and projects that correlate with the Illinois state standards for fourth grade to my curriculum. I have identified several science kits that would fit this need. The kits that I have identified bring to life everyday science and at level that kids can understand. The kits would be used in cooperative groups and learning centers for science exploration. Please help our dreams of the moon and stars become a reality!
