I teach a full day kindergarten class with 25 students.
My students each bring unique characteristics to the classroom creating one large family. My students need hands-on learning manipulatives to enrich lessons for the gifted students and to help remediate for struggling learners. After teaching in a city school for 12 years, this is my first year to teach in the county. These students come from a variety of income levels and backgrounds.
My Project
Our classroom has 5 desktop computers and 2 laptop computers. We are in need of new headphones and mice for these to work to their potential and for each student to have a quiet work opportunity.
We also need new computer ink for our printer.
This will allow the students to print their work. It will also make it possible for the teachers to print new resources and activities for the students.
The last item that I am requesting is an industrial pencil sharpener. Our students are becoming authors and we are constantly needing to sharpen pencils.
These materials will help us maximize some of the resources we have in our classroom.
