Help me give my students Cyber Acoustics USB headphones, sanitizing wipes/spray, and kids'-sized computer mice so that they may stay healthy while listening and clicking away at all the magic computer science has to offer!
We have such a wide variety of personalities, backgrounds, and eagerness to learn about the world of computer science by over 400 students each week! Seeing as how Computer Science is a once~weekly activity class in elementary schools in our district, we don't have a supply list sent home like homeroom teachers. We would love to have the necessary cleaning and disinfecting supplies to keep each one of these students happy and healthy while they explore the world of coding and robotics!
Headstart and Pre-K students are just learning how to hold a mouse, and how it is related to a cursor.
The mice I'm asking for make it easier for first-time learners to hold a mouse and click at the same time. The cuteness factor makes it even more fun for them to "play" while they learn valuable lessons in the world of technology!
While the younger students are learning the basics of computers and coding (which is mostly through video tutorials), the older students are enjoying creating their own projects on the different coding platforms. While they are allowed and encouraged to work with partners on their projects, they need to watch and listen to videos that teach them how to do these things. The headphones are a much needed tool for students to be able to focus on their own computer while they are learning and creating projects.
