Help us keep our classroom library organized so we do not lose our books or damage them! This will help keep our books around longer and help our students easily find them for our ELA block time during the school day each and every day!
My students are a diverse group of bright and energetic children!
It is not the best neighborhood and we do not have as many opportunities as other districts for funding, and any extra support I can provide for them makes me feel like I can make a difference. I truly want the best for them and will stop at nothing to achieve that! Our school is currently in a financial deficit and any extra classroom supplies we can get will help us tremendously.
The seat sacks will allow my students to keep track of their guided reading books easier to make for smoother transition periods and so that our books do not get lost or damaged. They will keep all of their books that they choose from our classroom library in the seat sacks. The students will be able to shop for new books each week and when they do so, they will have an accessible area to store them instead of just inside their desks. I know my students will love them and appreciate them just as much as I will.
My project is important because it will create more organization in our classroom which will help us get into a routine easier.
Students need routine and consistency and this will allow us to achieve that even better than before. The reading block in any classroom is one of the most, if not the most important areas we focus on in our room. Any extra supplies we can have for this time will help my students achieve their goals throughout the year.
