This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As reading is an essential part of any English curriculum, the importance of self-selected reading is crucial. Students want to be able to choose books that they enjoy, rather than always have something assigned to them. Graphic novels have grown more popular in recent years, especially with anything connected to what is popular in today's culture! Providing these types of books helps my students become more engaged in their reading, as it becomes an overall more exciting experience. They already have self-selected reading time each week, and, by providing these books, they will have even more options! Please help our classroom library expand.
