My Project

Our sixth grade students love to have choices and feel comfortable as they move about the room for independent work. We would love a cozy rug as a central, focal point in the room where kids can sit or lay with computers or books during their academic time. We also will use this daily as we come together as a classroom family to share any personal news, greet each other and begin the day collaboratively. We are also looking for a set of four chairs to allow the kids to work independently or collaboratively in a group and not just stay in their desk seats all day. Freedom to move around the room is always a request and having adequate seating will help.

Having a classroom that feels cozy, warm and inviting, allows the students to feel like they have a second home when they are here.

Having the option to sit where they choose allows them for more flexibility in their learning choices which in return keeps them engaged and active. Thank you for helping us create a beautiful classroom!
