My Project
My special needs students participate in cooking class as part of their life skills curriculum. This is the highlight of our week. The students enjoy shopping for and preparing meals for their peers and then eating the results of their efforts.
We are asking for help buying a refrigerator in order to build a kitchen in our new classroom.
The larger sized fridge will allow us to buy and store more fresh foods to incorporate into our recipes.
Building skills in the kitchen truly help the students become more independent and participate more with their families at home. This purchase will go a long way in helping my students grow.
