This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My kindergarten students come to school everyday excited to learn. One of their favorite areas of our classroom is our library. However, after 15 years of teaching many of our beloved books are falling apart! My students have trouble enjoying the library now that many of our books have been so loved that pages are falling out!
We need new books on a variety of students’ interest so that they can enjoy reading in our library again.
When funded, this project will provide my students with books from their favorite authors, books on topics that interest them, books that have a variety of cultures represented, and books that my students will be able to read! This project also provides book buddies to read to with the book character plushies! Please help us make our library loved again.
