Help Our Book Delivery Program II

Help me give my students 5 new books and 6 storage bins to deliver library books to their classrooms.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Sumida's classroom raised $277

My Project

I am a teacher/librarian at an elementary school serving many Hawaii Navy and Army families. The library is the center of encouraging literacy on our preschool through sixth-grade campus. About half of the students at my school are military dependents who move locations every three years. My students come to the library twice a month for library visits where they borrow books for academic and recreational purposes.

I'd like to provide my students with book crates to deliver their library books to the classrooms.

My students borrow books during their library appointments, and we have a book delivery system where they receive the books after they attend all of their specials classes. (Music, PE, and Hawaiian Studies) I'd like to provide these study book crates to replace the flimsy cardboard boxes we are currently using for grades 4-6.

A second goal for this project is to provide 5 new books for my students for the first day of school. These books will be perfect for lessons for the beginning of the school year and for recreational reading.
