My Project

In the spring of 2023, we introduced our scholars to learning to grow hydroponics. Through the summer months, we had a STEAM camp where scholars grew produce and shared it with our local farmer's market. Our scholars named their farm stand Beachy Greens and designed their logo and promoted their produce.

In the winter months are ahead we plan to share our produce such as lettuce, herbs, and tomatoes with our local senior center, and the Meals on Wheels program, to show our scholars they are truly making a difference in our community with the produce they grow.

Moving forward we are planning not only hydroponics through the spring and summer months but also creating a community garden with local charities for our scholars to share their produce.

The supplies we are requesting a Hydroponic Unit and shovels to start our plants and add them to our community garden.
