Ms. Davis from Chicago IL is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need Chromebooks for their writing assignments and college search! They will have access to technology at any point during their class time, as well as, during their lunch periods.

My students keep me motivated. They trust me. I put my effort and trust into them, and they repay me with performance. In my classroom, it doesn't matter what you're wearing, what your racial background is, who your parents voted for, none of that. They are learning, growing, succeeding, young adults, with a bright future ahead of them. They defy all stereotypes when they exit their homes in the morning, and enter school, with their minds set on winning.

A class set of Chromebooks will enable my students to work collaboratively on Google Suite assignments, together, but also enable them the privilege to focus intensively on the college application process, by working on their applications presently in class.
During our "College Workshop Days", students search for universities that fit their personal interests, begin those applications in class, and work on their personal statements.
I prioritize national deadlines; offering students the chance to work solely on scholarships or college apps, while their other classmates are working on other class materials. Having the accessibility of my our own set of chrome books, will negate some of the stress of students finding available cpus in labs, or having access to a cpu, but without their teacher for help.
