My Students
My 2nd Grade students are becoming better readers through an online reading program.
I work in an urban district.
I have 21 students with only one working computer. They are an awesome group of kids that can definitely use an influx of technology in the classroom. My school is a great place to be, but is severely lacking in working technology.
My Project
With these Chromebooks, the world will be opened up to my students. The one computer that we have is practically useless. The learning time that is wasted, waiting for programs to load, and searches to be completed, is horrendous. New Chromebooks will be used to enhance reading through the use of MyOn, an online reading program, as well as for Lexia use, which is an intervention program that my students use daily.
These Chromebooks will improve the lives of my students in many different ways.
My district, as well as myself personally, has purchased a variety of computer based learning programs. These computers will allow my students to use the web based learning programs.
