This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a 2nd grade bilingual teacher who is planning on creating a welcoming classroom environment. I hope that when my students walk into our classroom, they feel a sense of excitement and readiness to begin a new school year. Most of my students are from low income households. With these materials, they will be prepared to start off the school year and continuing working on different art projects during the school year. I love seeing their faces as they walk into a beautifully decorated and inviting classroom with all the supplies that my students need. These students deserve to feel welcomed and included.
