My Students

We are a Title I school that strives to give every student the opportunity to receive the best education possible. The majority of our students are from a low income home and qualifies for a free and reduced lunch. The technology available in my classroom is limited to one IPad and one Chromebook. My students love learning, and technology should be a part of their everyday routine in the classroom, allowing them to obtain important skills necessary in their educational careers.

My Project

My teaching style uses small group rotations. Small group learning is a huge asset in the classroom, there are many benefits to small group learning. Having 3 Chromebooks will allow me to use technology during these rotations. Chromebooks offer more options to students over the available Ipad options. With three Chromebooks I will be able to have students use technology in more ways than one. Prodigy, Xtramath, and IXL are several programs I plan to use with this new technology. Over time, I hope to build my resources so we can become a 1:1 classroom, offering even more opportunities for learning.
