This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work as an occupational therapist in an elementary school in Washington Heights, New York City. I help students in grades 3K-5th to develop skills they need for success in the classroom and beyond.
I am asking for help to provide my students with engaging tools, games, and supplies to help them with sensory regulation, fine and gross motor development, letter and shape recognition, handwriting skills, and more.
I am also asking for help to provide a few items including tissues and cleaner to keep my space clean and comfortable for my students. Thank you so much for considering my project.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
