My Students

I teach in a beautifully culturally diverse Title I School. I have 24 students who adore learning, but are facing the challenge of another unpredictable school year. I believe these students should have the opportunity to know that they are an important part of our community and that school can be a safe and stable place for them.

My Project

These wonderful books will continue to add to the beautiful library that reflects students backgrounds and interests. My students love independent reading, and have become very interested in particular people, time periods, and careers thanks to picture book biographies. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind.

Throughout this school year, my students have shown great interest in learning about our oceans, our earth, and what they can do to help save the world!

These books and curriculum will provide a variety of rich texts at multiple levels, introduce new vocabulary and concepts, and deepen their knowledge in areas of interest.
