Our school is a large, diverse school composed of students in grades 6-8. My students consist of over 100 students in 5 different classes. They are a kind, caring, and intelligent group of 8th graders who come from a variety of different backgrounds and ethnicities. They are hard working, fun, and creative!
My students are a hard working group of kids, but they often lack the supplies and resources they need, especially to complete their work at home.
As their teacher, I want to help provide each student with the opportunity to complete all of their work both in school and at home, by supplying them with all necessary items, even if that means allowing them to take them home.
My Project
My students need pencils, pens, folders, notebooks, dry erase markers and dry erasers along with a new pencil sharpener and learning Posters. As a teacher, I do my best to make sure my students have what they need each day to be successful. Many days, this includes providing them with pencils, paper, and sometimes even notebooks or folders if they aren't able to purchase these themselves.
These items will allow me to serve all of my students' school supply needs for the entire school year.
This is so important, especially because so many students (as well as myself) run out of supplies and are unable to obtain more in order to get them through the rest of the year. These supplies will be so beneficial for all of my students!
