Help My Students Manage Their Emotions

Help me give my students an inviting, calming, safe space where students can take a moment to reset when they're feeling overwhelmed throughout their school day.

My Project

My students are in special education sub-separated classrooms for students with emotional impairments. My goal is to create an inviting, calming safe space where students can take a moment to reset when they're feeling overwhelmed throughout their school day.

These sensory tools, such as the Weighted Stuffed Animals, Stress Balls Squishy Fidget Toys, and Anger Management Toys requested, will help our students manage their emotions and reduce stress during their time in the therapeutic support counselor’s office.

These resources promote self-regulation, enabling students to return to their learning environment ready to engage. The sensory tools can be used by students during instruction time to keep their hands busy and help them regulate themselves to focus and be more interactive during the learning process when they return to class. These supplies will ensure the space remains inviting and safe, which is essential for creating an atmosphere where students feel comfortable and cared for.

My students face challenges daily, yet they show incredible strength and determination. Each student brings their unique personality, creativity, and curiosity to our school. By providing them with the tools they need to thrive emotionally and academically, we’re investing in their bright futures and supporting their journey to becoming compassionate, well-rounded individuals. Our school system is facing a huge monetary deficit and any help in allocating these items would be greatly appreciated. Thank You!
