My students need Phonemic Awareness Boxes, Early Math Learning Centers and other learning activities to practice their reading readiness and math skills!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am teaching ten students with autism and other severe behavioral concerns. My students come from the Boston area and are curious, vibrant, and brilliant learners who are in need of academic centers based activities that challenge their minds.
I am serving students who range from K2 to 2nd grade, so differentiated materials are a must.
As a newer teacher I am hoping to build a warm classroom community, where my students feel supported and able to learn in their own individual way.
My Project
My students range from K2 to 2nd grade, and differentiated instruction is a crucial part of my classroom. I need center based activities for my students in order to learn in a small group setting. The Early Math Instant Learning Centers and Beginning, Middle, and Ending Sounds Instant Learning Centers will be used to practice math and literacy skills in an engaging way. These materials will help me teach my students key academic skills in an engaging and fun way which will inspire life long learners.
Phonemic awareness and early math skills are important for my students to learn.
The skills they will learn with these centers will help improve their reading and math skills, and those skills will be able to be transferred to more advanced learning.
