Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are developmentally delayed. Quite often they know what they would like to say but need many different strategies to help them. They love to look at pictures of themselves and some of the activities that they have participated in. I would like to make it easier for them to answer questions such as “What is your name??What are we doing in the picture by being able to take pictures and have them available within a short period of time as well as be able to make books, charts, folders for the students to be able to recognize as their own by picture identification of themselves or the specific activity. My students are with me all day in a special day class so we cover all subjects. I would like to have a digital camera with a memory card so that we could build a collection of classroom pictures to bolster our self-expression skills.
