This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach Spanish at a Title I high school with a population of over 4,200 students in the Los Angeles Area. My students enjoy learning Spanish through different sources besides the textbook. They enjoy when we read as a class.
My Project
My Spanish 1 and Spanish 2 students need more resources to practice and improve their reading. Short stories that are easy to understand will captivate and motivate my students. This book is interactive, interesting, and educational. The book is also translated into English which will help students when they are reading on their own. Besides reading as a class, students enjoy working in groups, and with these books, students will be able to work together to create fun projects for each of the short stories they will be reading from this book.
